-
Read the text out loud, but this time, notice grammar structures to improve your grammar.
-
Check the verb tenses. Past, present, future? Check your first spontaneous response transcript. Did you use the verb tenses correctly? When you talked in the past, did you use all the verbs in the past? Read those sentences in the transcript out loud.
-
Check subject-verb agreement. The professor mentions, he thinks. Make sure you are adding /s/. Read those sentences from the transcript out loud.
-
Check how verbs are used with specific nouns or prepositions. What kinds of adjectives are used. READ THE SENTENCES OUT LOUD.
-
Read the transcript out loud, but this time focus on speaking smoothly with the correct pronunciation. Use the audio, pause, and repeat after the audio. Build muscle memory by paying attention to reading smoothly and fluently.
-
Highlight the vowels and focus on those words only.
-
Pay attention to the pronunciation of each word.
-
Read the sentences out loud and make sure you are not pausing in the wrong places. Imitate the speaker.
-
Read your typed transcript out loud.
-
Use a timer to check how long it takes.
-
Add extra phrases or information to fill the time completely.
-
Edit mistakes you find.
-
-
Read it again to make sure the timing is right.
-
Do you want a bigger challenge? Try to do this WITHOUT looking at the text. Speak the edited response like you are in the exam.
