New for US pharmacy licensure

NABP accepts OET. Be ready on day one.

From January 11, 2027, foreign pharmacy graduates can use the Occupational English Test for FPGEC Certification instead of TOEFL. LangSolution is launching an OET course made only for pharmacists on the US pathway.

What Changed

A second way to prove your English for US pharmacy. Foreign pharmacy graduates need FPGEC Certification from the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy (NABP). Part of that is an English test, and until now the only option was TOEFL iBT.

Today

TOEFL iBT is still required

Keep using TOEFL if you need FPGEC Certification before January 2027.

Before you book

Check NABP for the OET grades

NABP has said it will post the details, including the OET grades you need, on its website. Check before you book your test.

January 11, 2027

OET results accepted

From this date, NABP accepts OET for FPGEC Certification.

Plan your test date carefully. OET results from tests taken before January 11, 2027 will not be accepted by NABP.
